The bold colors and sweeping lines of Priory may look modern, but the design is inspired by a small fresco motif found in a French church priory built in the 13th century.

The Premiere Edition features an exclusive, silver holo gilding on the cards. The tuck box is handcrafted by Paul Carpenter, with the design printed on a metallic quartz white cardstock, and then laser cut and assembled.* The intricately cut box is designed to provide glimpses of the gilded cards inside. The deck will be delivered in a protective clear sleeve from Carat Cases that is sealed with an Encarded holo seal. A certificate of authenticity will be included.

ONLY 72 OF THESE DECKS WILL BE CREATED AND 40 ARE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. There are no additional gilded decks in existence, all were used in this edition of the deck. Encarded's top-tier patrons will be receiving the earliest numbers. It will not be possible to request specific numbers and earliest orders will get the lower numbers.

Every element is customized. Modern and unique pips adorn each face and the court figures feature bold and bright colors and reversed inks to create a visual impact. 

Printed by the Expert Playing Card company on their latest Stud finish, the card feel is light and snappy, with excellent smoothness for fans and spreads. The cards measure out to a thin 15.5mm, vs 16.2mm or more for our previous decks. The deck faros easily and should handle well for both cardistry, sleights and general gaming use. 

As with all Encarded decks, Priory will not be printed again. Most limited Encarded released sell quickly, so don't miss out on this dynamic new addition to the Encarded catalog!

*Due to the handcrafted nature of this deck, some tiny variations may exist. Even with laser cutting there can be tiny registration differences with the artwork because each step of the process can introduce a microscopic variance.
